⚡ Skills & Abilities Rebalanced
Faster early unlocks, stronger mana abilities, better discoveries, and a smoother long-term progression curve are live now.
Your skill progression just received a major balance update. The goal is simple: more abilities worth using now, clearer milestones, and a better journey to level 50.
🟢 The update is live
The new skill curve, ability milestones, stat rewards, and discovery balance are active now. Your existing skill levels and progress were preserved through the update.
🚀 Useful abilities unlock earlier
You should start feeling your skill choices much sooner:
- Level 3: gathering bonuses such as Lucky Catch, Lucky Miner, Lumberjack, Bountiful Harvest, and Bigger Scoop begin unlocking.
- Level 5: movement and rare-discovery abilities begin appearing, including Fleeting, Metal Detector, and Treasure Hunter.
- Level 10: stronger discovery abilities and the first major mana abilities arrive, including Epic Catch, Lucky Spades, Replenish, and Speed Mine.
- Level 15: combat and utility mana abilities such as Charged Shot, Sharp Hook, Absorption, and Lightning Blade become available.
- Level 35: each skill's identity bonus earns its second and final rank.
Open /skills and check your individual skill pages—some abilities may already be available at your current level.
🌲 Treecapitator now earns skill XP
Treecapitator is fully part of Foraging progression now. When you spend mana to bring down a tree, the affected logs can contribute Foraging XP instead of feeling disconnected from the skill system.
Treecapitator and Terraform also have eight progression ranks, giving these abilities room to improve as you continue leveling.
✨ Mana abilities should feel worth pressing
Several active abilities now unlock earlier, cost less mana, have shorter cooldowns, or provide a stronger effect.
Highlights include:
- Speed Mine: earlier access, Haste II, and a shorter cooldown.
- Replenish: earlier access with a stronger crop-replanting effect.
- Sharp Hook: lower mana cost and a faster cooldown for fishing.
- Charged Shot, Absorption, and Lightning Blade: available at level 15 with more practical combat tuning.
These are still bounded survival abilities—not instant-win buttons—but they should now be useful often enough to become part of how you play.
🍀 Better milestones through level 50
Every skill now caps at level 50 with a smoother long-term curve. Progress is still meant to last, but the climb is less conservative than before.
Milestones now build your character instead of handing out automatic cash:
- Mining, Fishing, and Enchanting gradually improve Luck.
- Agility gradually improves movement speed.
- Defense and Alchemy build a modest amount of health and toughness.
- Combat skills gain bounded strength and critical bonuses.
- Mana-focused skills improve wisdom and regeneration.
The bonuses are intentionally controlled: your character becomes more capable without turning ordinary survival into creative mode with extra steps.
🎣 More reasons to fish and excavate
Fishing and Excavation discoveries have been adjusted so they can actually be noticed during normal play.
Expect occasional themed finds such as shards, glow ink, bones, spectral arrows, name tags, shells, and music discs. The rewards stay modest and renewable—useful surprises rather than progression-skipping treasure chests.
⚔️ Pick a skill and make progress tonight
Open /skills, choose something you already enjoy doing, and look at the next unlock. Farming, mining, fishing, fighting, exploring, enchanting, and movement all have meaningful milestones waiting much earlier than before.
🔎 What to try first
- Run
/skillsand check which abilities your current levels unlocked. - Try Speed Mine or Replenish if you have reached level 10 in the matching skill.
- Use Treecapitator while gathering wood and watch your Foraging progress.
- Go fishing or excavating and keep an eye out for discovery drops.
- Continue toward levels 10, 20, 30, 40, and 50 for permanent stat milestones.
📝 One live-test note
The update passed server-side verification. If a block ability behaves unexpectedly near a protected Land or server region, stop using it there and report the location and ability to staff. Java and Bedrock players are also encouraged to report any menu or movement issue.
