Protect & Travel
Land Guardians
Register and manage player-built iron golems that protect a claimed land.
Register a guardian
- Build a normal player-made iron golem.
- Stand in the same claimed land as the golem.
- Look directly at it.
- Run
/lg register [name], replacing[name]with an optional name. - Read the confirmation and finish the registration flow.
Registration is currently free. The live limits are 3 guardians per land and 5 per player. /lg opens a native Bedrock form when available or a Java inventory menu.
Choose a mode
| Mode | What it does |
|---|---|
| Trespass | Warns unauthorized visitors, then ejects them. The default warning is 5 seconds. |
| Peacekeeper | Allows entry and responds nonlethally when aggression occurs. |
New registrations start in Trespass mode.
Manage a guardian
<guardian> means the guardian's numeric ID or unique name. The available mode values are trespass and peacekeeper.
- See guardians:
/lg list - Inspect one:
/lg info <guardian> - Change behavior:
/lg mode <guardian> <mode> - Set a 1–10 second warning:
/lg warning <guardian> <1-10> - Change its name:
/lg rename <guardian> <new name> - Save its current home:
/lg sethome <guardian> - Return it home:
/lg recall <guardian> - Remove guardian status:
/lg unregister <guardian> - Rebind its record to the eligible golem you are looking at:
/lg rebind <guardian>
Use /lg when possible so the interface can show valid choices.
Management and lifecycle
- Only authorized land managers can manage guardians. Basic membership is not enough.
- Guardians do not spawn or automatically respawn. Build the iron golem first.
- The guardian's chunk must be loaded for interactions that need the entity.
- Unregistering is a two-step confirmation. It returns the golem to vanilla behavior and gives no refund.
- Rebinding attaches an existing guardian record to the eligible golem you are looking at; it does not move the record to another land.
If registration fails
Check that the golem is player-made, you are looking at it, both of you are in the same claimed land, you have the right role, and current land/player limits are not reached. If unloaded, return to its chunk.
